Questions
Is my shop concerned by the European Accessibility Act?
Since 28 June 2025, online shops that sell to consumers in the EU must be accessible, unless the business is a microenterprise (fewer than 10 employees and no more than €2 million in turnover or balance sheet). Read our guide to the EAA.
Will Relyo make my site compliant?
No tool can on its own. Relyo checks 61 of the RGAA's 106 criteria automatically (69 with Relyo Pro) and corrects what can be corrected; 37 criteria can only be judged by a person, and Relyo says so.
Does Relyo send my pages anywhere?
No. Relyo loads your pages from your own site to check them, and axe-core runs in your browser, on your own pages. Relyo Pro sends an image to the AI service you chose only when you ask for its alternative, with your own key.
Does it work with page builders?
Yes. Relyo checks the page as displayed, so it sees what Elementor and other builders produce. For an image in an Elementor layout, it updates the alternative in the media library, which Elementor uses unless the widget sets its own.
Can I undo a correction?
Display corrections: turn them off in Relyo → Corrections and the page is back as it was. Content corrections: WordPress keeps a revision before each one, which you can restore from the editor.
Which versions does it need?
WordPress 6.4 or later and PHP 8.1 or later. WooCommerce, Polylang and WPML are supported but not required.
